Toy Story Movie Facts
Did you know that originally, the Woody character was made into an obnoxious toy figure who was constantly insulting and berating his fellow toys? Obviously that first script draft was later modified and Woody was portrayed as a better character, even though he almost destroyed Buzz by pushing him out the window in the first Toy Story film , due to one of his bouts of jelousy and anger. Woody’s full name in the movie is Woody Pride. His first name was chosen in honor of a popular actor, Woody Strode, who appeared in many Westerns in the 50′s and 60′s.
Another Bit of Trivia: Despite the great success of the first Toy Story movie, the second film was originally meant to be a one hour home movie, but after watching the entire film footage, Disney executives opted to make Toy Story 2 a cinema film.
